New Yorkers are the absolute best… This week, when cops caught up to a man who had raped an 11-year-old girl and arrested him, they also had to quiet the crowd on the street – which was yelling “Kill him! Kill him!” Because New Yorkers don’t play.
The Daily News reports:
A suspected MS-13 gang member was charged Saturday with sneaking into a Brooklyn home and raping an 11-year-old girl who was asleep in bed, sources said.
Julio Ayala, 18, was collared about 2 p.m. after a police chase on foot ended at a construction site on Flatbush Ave. near Caton Ave.
Cops closed off the street as Emergency Services Unit officers went in and pulled him out.
“Kill him! Kill him!” a large crowd of onlookers — who apparently knew of the rape allegation — chanted as the suspect was being brought out of the construction site.
Ayala, who lives near Prospect Park, was hit with several charges including rape, burglary and committing a criminal sex act. He was expected to be arraigned Sunday.
Neighbors said they were repulsed by the attack.
Ayala had apparently climbed into the girl’s second-story window and raped her while she slept. She woke up and started screaming for her parents, which sent him diving out the window. By the time the family was able to call 911, Ayala was gone.
However, police found video surveillance of him disguising himself as he walked from Parkside and Flatbush Aves. to Ocean and Church Aves., according to officials.
