A guest on Russian state TV expressed surprise that President Donald Trump was doing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s bidding by attacking NATO allies in Brussels.
Russian Media Monitor’s Julia Davis noted on Twitter that the remark was made by Tatyana Parkhalina, the president of the Association for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation on the Russian “60 Minutes” program Wednesday.
“I never thought I’d live to see this!” she said. “Neither the USSR nor Russia, who tried many times to drive the wedge between transatlantic allies, but Washington is doing everything to break down the foundations of transatlantic alliance and unity.”
