Attorneys for longtime Trump fixer Michael Cohen are not expected to represent him going forward, ABC News reported Wednesday, adding that Cohen is now “likely to cooperate with federal prosecutors.”
Attorneys Stephen Ryan and Todd Harrison of the firm McDermott, Will & Emery LLP are not expected to handle Cohen’s federal case in New York going forward, according to the report. It’s unclear who will represent Cohen.
According to ABC’s sources, Cohen is now “likely to cooperate with federal prosecutors.”
“This development, which is believed to be imminent, will likely hit the White House, family members, staffers and counsels hard,” ABC reported.
Cohen’s attorneys have not yet filed a motion to be excused from the case.
