Police responded to a call a 911 call to Harvey Weinstein’s daughter’s home on Wednesday morning, according to TMZ.
His adult daughter had reportedly called for help saying he was “suicidal and depressed,” although she later clarified he had not made any explicit threats on his life.
Weinstein later went back inside and was not taken for follow-up care by police.
The incident was just the latest sign things are not going well for Weinstein as the allegations pile up against him.
According to Page Six, Weinstein is “shell-shocked” about how his life has been turned upside down after an increasing number of women have come forward accusing him of sexual crimes.
“I am profoundly devastated,” he told the gossip site. “I have lost my wife and kids, whom I love more than anything else.”
As per Page Six:
After [Georgina] Chapman, 41, announced she was leaving him Tuesday night following a series of allegations of rape and sexual assault against him by actresses, Weinstein sounded sad and shell-shocked when he spoke to Page Six shortly after.
As exclusively revealed on “Page Six TV,” Weinstein, 65, told us of Marchesa co-founder Chapman’s decision, “I fully support her decision. I didn’t stand in Georgina’s way when we discussed a separation, I encouraged her to do what was in her heart. I know she has to do what is best for the children, for herself and her business, she employs 130 people. I don’t want her or my children to be hurt any more than they already have. I truly love Georgina, and I hope one day we can reconcile, although right now I don’t know if that could possibly happen.”
Weinstein, who was fired from his company, headed for rehab Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, many others are coming forward to speak out against him.
Weinstein’s former assistant said she knew things were going on.
“I think it’s imperative people come forward but I think the problem women face in this situation is, who do they tell? It’s very hard to know which way to go when you see behaviors you don’t like,” Weinstein’s former assistant, who went by Karen, said, according to the Daily Mail.
She added: “I think the situation within the office made it very difficult for anyone to speak out, I think Harvey is a multi-faceted person. I think he is exceptionally bright and intelligent I think a lot of people were in awe of him.”
In addition, Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Judi Dench and a slew of other A-list Hollywood celebs have also condemned Weinstein’s acts as the former film producer’s star continues to fall.
