A Rhode Island man is under arrest after he gunned down his own mother while she laid in an intensive care unit bed.
The incident all happened at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire on Tuesday.
Travis Frink entered the hospital and went up to the ICU, which was on the 4th floor. He then opened fire, killing his mother, Pamela Ferriere, 70, a patient in the unit.
The shooting prompted a lockdown of the medical facility and reports of an active shooter.

Attorney General Gordon MacDonald, however, said Frink only had one thing on his mind when he walked into the hospital armed and that was killing his mom.
“The purpose of Mr. Frink’s visit to the hospital was to kill his mother,” MacDonald said, according to WCVB.
Frink was arrested by police while attempting to leave the facility. He is expected to be arraigned on Wednesday.
Frink’s motives are still unknown.
