Myles Hill, 3, was left in a van in Florida for hours until he was discovered dead Monday night, The Root reports.
According to the Associated Press, Orlando Police Chief John Mina said Hill was left in the van outside the Little Miracles Academy. He didn’t say if day care workers would face charges. all day before he was discovered Monday night.
Detectives are waiting for autopsy results..
“This is an absolute tragedy that could have been prevented,” Mina told reporters.
Myles was supposed to be taken to a different Little Mircals Academy, but somehow ended up still in a van 11 hours after he should have arrived. The driver of the van reportedly “did admit to not doing a head count” when the children left the van in the morning.
Myles would have turned 4 on August 22nd.
