Brandon Ray Davis, 30, was arrested after yelling anti-gay slurs and threats at a couple in Florida, My Fox 8 reports.
Kevin Seymour and Kevin Price were riding bicycles when Davis approached them on a rented scooter, WNCT reports. From the scooter Davis yelled anti-gay slurs, accused the couple of voting for Hillary Clinton and said, “You live in Trump country now.”
Davis was reportedly drunk.
Seymour said he’d call the police, to which Davis said: “If you do that, I’ll cut you up.”
Davis also used his scooter to hit Seymour’s bike, knocking Seymour onto the ground.
The scooter rental company helped authorities track Davis down via his driver’s license.
Davis was arrested by deputies on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon with evidence of prejudice. He’s expected to be extradited to Florida from his native North Carolina.
