A Republican Senator told CNN’s John King that President Donald Trump should take his gripes up with a “therapist” after a bizarre press conference Thursday.
“I got a text from a Republican senator who said in this text, ‘He should do this with a therapist, not on live television,'” King reported after the press conference mercifully ended.
King did not say who the senator was, but added it was a Republican senator who was not a fan of Trump to begin with.
At his press conference, Trump:
–Blamed his disastrous start on President Obama, claiming, “I inherited a mess” even though Obama left after 76 consecutive months of job growth.
–Repeatedly attacked the press, saying “the level of dishonesty is out of control.”
-Claimed that the leaks related to Russia are true but the reporting is “fake news” anyway.
-Claimed that former NSA Mike Flynn “did nothing wrong” even though he just fired him.
–Asked a black reporter if she can set up a meeting with her “friends” on the Congressional Black Caucus.
–Got busted lying about his electoral college win by NBC News reporter Peter Alexander.
–Bullied a Jewish reporter who asked how Trump would battle anti-Semitism.
–Battled CNN’s Jim Acosta over ratings and his credibility.
