Trump said that the Russian hacks gave people valuable information about Hillary Clinton, The Guardian reports.
The President-elect admitted hacking is bad and admitted again that Russia probably did the hacking, “but look at the things that were learned … that Hillary Clinton got the questions to the debate but didn’t report it? Can you imagine if Donald Trump got the questions to the debate? It’s a very terrible thing.”
Also revealed in the hacks were Clinton’s disastrous positions on Syria, and her team’s questioning of whether the Libyans owed America money for freeing them from longtime U.S. frenemy Colonel Gaddafi.
Trump went on to repeat his belief that his relationship with Putin will prove useful to both countries. He later said Russia would be a valuable partner in the fight against ISIS.
“If Putin likes Donald Trump, I consider that an asset, not a liability, because we have a horrible relationship with Russia.”
“Do you honestly believe that Hillary would be tougher on Putin than me? Does anybody really believe that?”
