Trump supporters are making it clear that they are still behind Trump even as top ranking Republicans distance themselves from the embattled GOP nominee.
Gathering today in Washington DC, the Trump fans held signs reading things like “Better to grab a p*ssy than to be one” and “Women for Trump.”
HAPPENING NOW: Pro Trump rally in front of the RNC HQ in DC. Unbelievable how ignorant some of the signs are. The GOP must reject this crap! pic.twitter.com/ILSLvkKhZb

The Virginia state campaign chair for Trump, Corey Stewart, told Politico he organized today’s protest and told rally-goers that the GOP ‘pukes’ inside the Trump campaign “threatened” him.

Social media also helped spread the word, with some borrowing Brietbart’s language to call the GOP’s falling out with Trump, and particularly Paul Ryan’s call for Republicans to focus down ballot a “coup.”
The Republican national party has not yet commented on the protest.
UPDATE: The Trump camp has fired Stewart.
