In a video introduction that aired in the arena on Wednesday night, the DNC paid loving tribute to Barack Obama and his time in the White House.
According the DNC, the video highlights “President Obama’s tenure including passing the Affordable Care Act, signing the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, appointing two eminently qualified jurors to the Supreme Court, ensuring that undocumented children would no longer have to live in the shadows, capturing and killing Osama bin Laden.”
In addition to chronicling the challenges Obama faced and continues to confront during his time in the Oval Office, the video paid special attention to how gun violence has shaped his years as president, as well as the man he is today.
“Being president has not changed who he is, it has revealed who he is,” Michelle Obama is heard on the 10-minute video that aired to a cheering and xx DNC crowd.
