A British mother of two said she has always had an interest in spirits and spooks. When she tried out a Ouija board, however, she thinks he may have been cursed by Satan himself.
Angela Jackson said that her father, who had died from cancer, had even warned her not to use a Ouija board when he came through during a spiritualist meeting to speak to her from beyond the grave.
Still, she decided to dabble in the divining arts anyhow.
“It was risky because there was no knowing who you may connect with. Demons and evil spirits could get through too,” Angela said. “I decided that was probably what Dad was worried about. But despite his warning, I couldn’t get the idea out of my head.”
So together with a few friends, she decided to try it out.
“The spirit wanted to speak to me,” Angela recalled. “But then it spelt out, ‘Die bitch’.”
Angela admitted she thought her friends were playing a joke but they reassured her they were not. Then, for no reason at all, she said, the living room door slammed shut.
“My voice quivering, I asked, ‘Who are you?’ With only my finger on the glass it moved faster. ‘I was murdered,’ it scrawled. ‘Just like you’re going to be,” Angela said of her frightening experience.
Then when she asked who was speaking to her, the board spelled out S-A-T-A-N.
Clearly frightened, Angela tried again to contact the dark spirit but to no avail. Finally, she gave up the Ouija board for good. Her neighbors moved away.
Then one night, something terrible happened.
“From behind me I heard a voice. ‘Die bitch,’ it growled. I froze at the sound of those words,” Angela recalled of her terrifying attack. “Shaking with fear, I turned to see a man in a white T-shirt, emerging from the shadows wielding a claw hammer.”
She woke up in the hospital with a fractured skull. She is convinced that the assault was not a random act of violence.
“It’s been six years now since the attack. No one has ever been caught and I’m still scared the spirit’s prediction will one day come true,” she said.
“If I’d listened to Dad’s warnings through the psychic maybe none of this would’ve happened,” Angela surmised, encouraging others to not mess with the occult. “But now I’m warning all of you – never mess with Ouija boards. You don’t know what evil lurks in the afterlife.”
